The system is running fine now. It's the disk caching. It has run fine since June and didn't have a problem till a "helper" turned on disk caching to improve the performance. The remaining problem is if the machine gets rebooted for any reason the disk caching turns on again. I've turned it off in the bios but windows isn't paying attention. So we turn it off manually after each reboot. Which won't be happening to often any more. The page file is on another drive so it's not an issue. None the less thanks for your reply it's always appreciated.
