Could be many possible causes. One is if you don't have
an
administrator's mailbox defined on the connector -
check this.

Recently, the Internet Mail Connector (SMTP service) on our
Exchange
server has been failing. There are no
nasty messages in the logs, it
just stops. When we try
to restart it, it displays error 2140. However,
there are no additional error messages in the Event Logs (e.g.,
41xx).
We're using Exchange 5.54...
Any thoughts?
