Make sure that the same Service Packs are applied and that the DB and
Log files are on the same drives as the original server George Morse Nordson Corporation IT - Sr. Network Analyst email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original
Message----- i didnt do a no loss
restore. I am going to reinstall
exchange on that recovery server, recreate the default databases, then restore
again from tape. I will double check that
Im not doing a no loss restore. when the restore is
complete, the DB should just start. I shouldnt run Isinteg -patch at that time. -----Original Message----- Michael, A quick search of MS Support on 1080 states that the
Tran Log(s) are missing. I see two
possibilities. 1. Tran Log
location on recovery server isn't in the same location as the original server. 2. You may
have done a no loss restore which leaves the DB in an inconsistent state, so
tran logs can be replayed at IS start. George Morse Nordson

restore. Did you copy the salvaged
Tran Logs from the original server to the recovery server? George Morse Nordson

codes in the event logs show Event ID

1080 the
error given is 0xc8000713 -----Original Message----- What errors are in the event log? Was the original server WinNT 4.0? If so there should be an error in the
event log stating that you need to defrag the DB. Do that and it should be running again. George Morse Nordson
