Nope - there are addins to control access and override the security. You can
open or run any attachment you want provided it's added to the list.

If you mean SP2 for Office 2000, there is no fix. You need to do an
uninstall and then reinstall Office. Then omit the SP2 upgrade.

I installed Office SP-1 because I had no choice. Now I can't open many
attachments without saving them first. I know this can be changed in the
registry, does anyone know how to do this?
