One might ask: doesn't everybody already have effective "out of office" filters in place? :-) It's easier to never* see an out-of-office message from any of my dozen-odd lists, than to have to check the full headers every time. (Sure, if I were using mutt I'd see them without checking, but for this Exchange list I'm using Outlook.) And a mix of top-quoting and bottom-quoting and lack of quote-marking can make hash of sigs. * "Never" means _almost_ never. Occasionally someone will write "so and so would rather be in Cancun than here reading your message," which doesn't help a set of rules triggered by any of "out of office," "out of the office," "away from the office," "not at h** desk," and so forth.
