While I agree with this, you need to check and see whether your organization
has an Information Officer - if so, the mailbox may be subject to certain
retention and archival procedures that the Information Office controls. Same
with HR.

Prior to having a complete mail archiving system that is exactly what we
did, and what I did at my previous job. Included on the disk was a copy of
their network folders also.

When you have an employee leave your business, do you Exmerge their mailbox
to a pst, then delete?  I'm trying to figure out the best method for keeping
old users' mailbox contents, without keeping old users' mailboxes.
