Smith To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Sent: Mon Jan 05 18:15:24 2009 Subject: RE: Odd accounts ending up in Disconnected mailbox area It’s been known to happen that move-mailbox (which gives really crappy error reporting if you don’t run it in verbose mode and way too much junk info if you do) doesn’t succeed in purging the source mailbox as the final step of its operation. If they are in that list, they are certainly disconnected (which simply means that their GUIDs are not associated with any AD account), as long as mailbox management is running every night. Also be aware that you should manage Exchange 2003 objects from ESM and Exchange 2007 objects from EMC. Ne’er the twain should meet. Regards, Michael B.
