Not really.  Not the one I have anyways.  Yea, I would rather just
swap a battery, but what can you do.  At least there are solutions for
dealing with a dead phone and a lack of AC connectivity.

You can get attachable rechargable batteries in a variety of forms,
including external shells that the phone can slide into (nothing
hanging, or attached).

I have to say, the iPhone 3G is one of the sweetest devices I have
ever used.  Sure, the lack of some standard smart-phone features is
kind of a let down, but over all the phone and its cabailities have
stunned me, and I have been just fine living without so far.

I was very much against having to adopt to it in order to support my
exec users, but I have been extremely pleased with the device.  Seeing
just how well it works, I can understand why Apple has a QA
strangle-hold on the device.
