There's no doubt about it, the iPhone is a marvelous device. The
touch UI is incredibly well designed. (Apple always has make great
GUIs.) The web browser is the best you can get on a phone,
hands-down.

It just has some warts. The inability to use a Bluetooth keyboard
seems really bone-headed for a device which is otherwise so well
designed. The lack of really good Exchange sync depends on what
people are looking to do. Some of the people here live and die by
their Outlook, so it's a deal-breaker for them.

This appears to be very much a matter of personal preference. Some
people here love the Storm and it's touch-screen; others can't stand
it. Myself, I've tried the iPhone as well, and I fall into the "can't
stand it" category.

I can't stand the poorly-designed keypads on some other phones,
either. Too many of them forget that you want spaces *between* key
contact surfaces. Or they make the keys narrow and tall, instead of
wide and short. (The tips of one's fingers when holding a device are
wide and short.)

I like the keypad on the BlackBerry 8830. My all time favorite was
the one on my now defunct Sony Clie PEG-TG50.

Keep in mind that I have an IBM Model M keyboard on my desk. I have
high standards when it comes to key input. :)
