Hello all - after reading this: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2009/06/01/451514.aspx - which to summarize, says it's recommended to use E2k3 servers to journal to when you're in mixed E2k3 / E2k7 mode, I created 14 new mailboxes on one of our E2k3 servers to receive the Journaled email from 14 new E2k7 stores. I used the E2k3/W2k3 ADUC GUI to create those mailboxes.
When I try to add the Journal Recipient via the GUI, or when I try Powershell thusly: "Set-MailBoxDatabase "server\share" -JournalRecipient "Domain\UserAcctof the E2k3Mailbox" " I get an error: The following error(s) occurred while saving changes: set-mailboxdatabase Failed Error: Object "domain/OU/E2k3Mailbox" could not be found. Please make sure that it was spelled correctly or specify a different object. What am I doing wrong? We do have some Journaling working, including some E2k7 stores to E2k3 mailboxes. (As far as I can recall, I did the exact steps as I mentioned above to get them going. That was before we had SCR started.) Our servers are in two child domains, under an empty root.
