Well, I finally got back to it eons later and *DING* *DING* we have a winner! This is exactly what the problem was. Of course I kind of *had* to get back to it, because I ended up having the exact same issue with my *nix box and had to get it resolved!
I knew I pack-ratted these emails for a reason! Thanks to all for the suggestions!
