If its not repeatedly asking you for a pw then you are authenticating and your log in W3SVC shows that. . I suggest rebooting the server overnight and let us know if its still happening.

Free/Busy using Outlook in 2003 does not revolve around IIS, it uses the Schedule+Free/Busy Folder in the Public Folders to handle it. 2. http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Resetting-OWA-Folder-IIS-security-permissions-Exchange-2003.html Check the permissions on the folders using the link above.
