Now I've got a problem where the user has a mailbox on each of the 2 Exchange 2003 servers (where I tried to move them while trying to figure this out). I ran cleanup which gave the me the red X on the box, but when I try to purge I get "The operation cannot be performed because this mailbox was already reconnected to an existing user". This is on both the Exchange 2003 servers. I did some Googling and see that the way to correct this is to export everything from his mailbox into a PST, then remove all the Exchange attributes from his account, which should then allow me to purge the mailbox(es). I can then re-create the mailbox and import the PST into the mailbox. Is that about it or is there another method? -----Original Message----- From: Michael B. Have moved mailbox back to the Exchange 2010 server and will see if maintenance will be clean it up now. -----Original Message----- From: Maglinger, Paul [mailto:pmaglin...@scvl.com] Sent: Saturday, February 12, 2011 2:35 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: RE: Exchange 2010 - mapiexceptionshutoffquotaexceeded message when trying to move mailbox I set it for zero and will let it run the normal scheduled time. It's the recoverable items! Somehow I need to purge those. -----Original Message----- From: Maglinger, Paul [mailto:pmaglin...@scvl.com] Sent: Saturday, February 12, 2011 1:55 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: RE: Exchange 2010 - mapiexceptionshutoffquotaexceeded message when trying to move mailbox Okay, looking at the mailbox from Exchange 2003 System Manager, the mailbox size is showing 466,473KB (which would have been over any limit I had on the systems, but when I checked the mailbox before moving it was only showing 37MB. When I check the mailbox properties using Outlook it is showing 33KB. Verrrrrry odd indeed. -----Original Message----- From: Maglinger, Paul [mailto:pmaglin...@scvl.com] Sent: Saturday, February 12, 2011 1:25 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: RE: Exchange 2010 - mapiexceptionshutoffquotaexceeded message when trying to move mailbox Yep (on initiating from 2010). Took a suggestion from Randall and just removed the mailbox limits on this user. Tried the move again and it worked. I'll dig around in the logs and see what's there, but will find it strange to be a limits issue because I thought I had everything the same on both systems. Thanks for the fast replies! -Paul -----Original Message----- From: Michael B. Are there any event log errors on either system? What does the detailed moverequest log say? Regards, Michael B.
