Hope this makes sense, my mind is fuzzy this morning and not sure if I'm
reading your question correctly :(

I made two pst files called a1 and a2, containing the same messages.
Created two folders called a1 and a2. I import a1.pst to folder a1, all
messages and folder tree created, Then import a2.pst to folder a1 with "do not
duplicate as the option, I didn't get duplicates.

Do not import duplicate items Existing data will be kept, and the duplicate
information in the file will not be copied to the current Outlook folder.
Now if I import one of those pst's to folder a2, it does create dupes of what
is in folder a1 - because it's a different Outlook folder.

I'd think that'd be the same across all Outlooks and that Exchange version
wouldn't matter; I did it with OL2003 and Ex2010.

Subject: Importing PST files

Exchange 2003/Outlook 2003

If a user has two or more PST files and these are imported into seperate
folders in Outlook and you select the option Do Not Import Dulplicates will
this stop two of the same messages being imported even if the they are going
into seperate folders?

Thanks

John
