I am working on designing our email migration from exchange 2003 to exchange 2010. I was planning on starting with a simple setup, 1 cas/hub server and 1 mbx server. I am still unsure of the placement of the cas/hub server because from what I understand, the CAS should be in the perimeter/dmz. Does the HUB need to be outside too?
How do you guys have your servers placed in regards to the perimeter and private network? Any pointers would be awesome.
