If the originating account/mailbox is moved out of an OU that's part of the GALSYNC process and is deleted from the far end, and then picked up and synch'ed again, the LegacyDN will get hosed.
Check with the source side to make sure none of the accounts are being moved into different OU's. John M. The legacyExchangeDN gets messed up. it's totally random - one or two contacts a month, so far never the same one, from either of the two sister domains. The IIFP was set up before I got here, running on Windows / Exchange 2003. It's time for an upgrade, but all the options are so expensive. Any ideas/suggestions/pointers welcome. But that goes into the "unsupported" column I think this October with Microsoft. You will have to switch over to Identity Manager to get support should something blow up. With regards to the corrupted contacts, have you tried running that down to see where it's coming from? John M. Right now we have it running on a Windows 2003 / Exchange 2003 server with IIFP. that's a big part of it. Another thing is we have problems with random contacts getting corrupted; so I have to go in and remove / replace /r resolve x500 addresses. We've looked at the big money options - $30,000 for Quest's "free" Quick Connect tool now; just wondering what everyone else was doing.... Just curious if anyone has created a script to sync Global Address Lists between domains. Currently we use the old GALSync tool to sync the Address List between three domains. We are considering different implementations, and someone suggested we "just" script it.
