Hello out there, [ exim 4.51 ] in our environment we deliver messages via LMTP (via socket) to the cyrus mail system. From time to time mails bounce with quite unspecific error message:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
(generated from [EMAIL PROTECTED])
Looking for the Message-ID I found in the log file:
"LMTP error after end of data: 554 5.6.0 Message contains NUL
characters"
I'd like to return this error to the sender. How?
Best regards from Dresden
Viele Grüße aus Dresden
