[Thinks...] Would it be useful to all/many/some/nobody to code up a "feature" whereby the Exim child processes have something descriptive in their proccess name, such as: 2930 ? Ss 4:02 exim -bd -q15m 20045 ? S 0:00 \_ exim -bd -q15m (connection from 192.168.1.1) Strikes me that would not require *too* much in the way of code, and may make the output from "ps" a little more easily understandable. Hit me if that's a daft idea.
