That's the thing. We have an inbound and an outbound server, each running Exim as an MTA. DKIM signing happens at the inbound server, so all mail is to pass through it. Local mail generated on the outbound server (the client in this transaction) is supposed to route to the inbound server, not out to the world at large, which is what's happening.
