A *number* of my emails report bad DKIM in Thunderbird.

*Many are fine.*

Now , I know *I'll need to do a lot of legwork here* but I'd like to establish some fixed points before I dig deeper.

I add DKIM on my outgoing email.

I have exim filters which add various headers

My current understanding is:

On my *outgoing* email the DKIM is added late on, so ANY modification I make (headers or body) inside exim will be included in the DKIM signature?

On *incoming* email , I use fetchmail and invoke SMTP (exim) to deliver locally , here any modifications (e.g. in filters) will cause DKIM to break (..or is it only Body modifications?)

There an several other places, outside of exim, where this change could be getting made (if indeed it started with a valid DKIM) so, as I say, I've a lot of digging to do .
