IMO you have to debug only one of expansions, not both, as
you have problem with regex in sg expansion, not with dsearch
itself. Debuging both produces a lot of unrelated (to your
problem) output and you are lost in it.
Basic rule for exim's regexes (in config file) is to escape any
\, { and $ chars, or enclose it in \N marks, as it is interpreted twice,
once as exim config and then again by regex engine.
