My Russian wife and I are sick of Moscow housing costs and daily commutes of 3
hours or so. So we are hoping to bring a motor home - a motorized caravan or RV
- here from Germany in October. Has anyone else tried this in Moscow - any
experiences here with the police? I know there are 2-3 places in Moscow where
motor homes can officially be parked. A lot can be seen on motor homes in
Russia on the Internet, but on the road one of course still sees very little.
My questions include: Would German or Russian license tags be better, what kind
of documents are needed when entering Russia, experiences with RVs in Moscow.
We are hoping to park usually on the small, fenced-in grounds of my employer.
That would keep the daily commute to work below 3 minutes!
