Careful on this one!

Does your friend speak Russian?

It could be worth going to the OVIR's office and plead your case. Possibly
they could arrange "exchanging" 63 days from your friend's next 90 days.

I would be leery of trying to pass off as sick for 63 days.

Might be time to consult a professional service for advice.

One solution would be to prove that he was ill all this time.
He will need a certificate from hospital. One of my friends had the same
problem and it helped.

Subject: Expat List Visa overstay

Hello,
a friend of mine overstayed a 1 year business visa (overlooked the 90 day
rule) for about 63 days and just realized it. Do you have an idea how to fix
this problem and who can fix it? Please email me directly or post it to the
list (if it's a legal fix). No need to say that he lives here and wants to
stay a bit longer and not get on any blacklist.

Thanks for your help and comments in advance.

Greetings

Chris
