Games on the Mac: every new Mac comes with Bootcamp, which enables the Mac
to run Windows. To play a windows game on a Mac, start Bootcamp and play the
Windows game on the Mac as if it was a Windows PC. Simple.

Hiya friends,

I notice that my inflammatory post got a response from Mac proponents, and I
do understand what they're saying. I was a Mac-head for years (as a
designer), and I still grok deeply the elegance of Apple products. But
there's one minus, in switching to a Mac:

Games.

I love playing games. My kid loves playing games. And even though NVidia
et al started making video cards for the Mac, the selection of games still
sucks. No, actually, it blows.

Perhaps it's because I grew up playing on my cousin's Atari 2600 in the late
70s, and envisioning cool computers as devices that could someday supersede
arcade machines -- and they did (yee-haw!) -- and I don't need to beg my
folks for quarters anymore!

Otherwise, if you wear "business-casual" attire more than 20% of the time, a
Mac is awesome, and sexy. (I like the Air notebooks -- especially the
solid-state, no-moving-parts versions.). Or if you're a designer, with
purple hair. (Hey, I do appreciate multicolor hair, facial piercings and
brand loyalty!) But if you like to blow off steam by Gaming --
forgetaboutit.

On a personal note, I can't believe I'm ranting about geeky issues. I shall
go and repent now.

Cheers!

-Alexander
