You can get this done at Izmailovsky Market (Partizanskaya metro station) if
you take along photos of all the people you want to put on the dolls. I think
it takes a week or so and im not entirely sure of the price, but i have seen
some of the guys work and it's pretty good. He's on the left hand row on
stalls, just after you walk into the main souvenir/tourist market (the bit you
pay ten roubles to get into!)

Subject: Expat List Matrioshka
Does anyone know an artist who customizes matrioshka dolls with family
portraits on them? We thought it would be a good going away gift for a
visiting professor and his family. Other ideas are welcome too.
