Dear list, we live in one of those Moscow flats with no heating regulation (our house was built in 1964). We would very much like to add regulatory handles so that we can turn off radiators in certain rooms, as the air often gets unbearable during winter. I believe that this is possible without major works, and I have seen such handles added to old radiators in at least one Stalin-era flat.
Before I open negotiations with the technicians from the communal services company - does anyone have experience with this? Thanks, Nikolaus
