Dear Caroline,

I cannot confirm to you the message in accordance with law. Anyway, the current
practice I faced is, that my Western Gastarbeiters have been refused

the prolongation of the Work Permit …. Even if they have been working for the
company for longer time.

In fact, there was no problem with Managing Directors …… so we initiated an
inflation of MDs in our Group.

Hi expats,

I've just been told by my employer that since the start of July the Federal
Migration Service has a new policy about work permits under which they will
routinely refuse permits to everyone except senior management, regardless of
educational qualifications, etc. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Thanks.

Caroline
