Dear Peter,

do you know if permanent resident permit requires permanent address
registration after that. I am asking because me and my husband are renting an
apartment and the landlord has registered me but when I get PRP I will not have
permanent address registration (propiska), just the temporary one. So, in this
case, I wonder whether it makes sense to proceed with PRP...
Thank you for the reply.
Best regards, Natali

Bernard...

Temporary residency permit       Visa: need exit visa every time you leave
country (3 days prior to departure)
                                                        Work Permit - YES
Permanent residency permit       Visa: NO (you get blue Russian passport -
valid 5
 years)
                                                        Work Permit - NO
You can obtain PRP after 1 year of TRP (starting 6 months prior with
application)
Peter

I can give the law on the issue and a contact (lawyer) who has already done
several temporary as well as permanent residency permits

Peter
