1. Re: Driving lessons (Stefan Schmid) Olaf, why don't you buy an automatic car? Just reading about a shift-stick is painful :-) Maybe you can skip lessons (and... accidents??) then? Good luck anyway, I drove in New York, but I don't know how I would do in Moscow ;-)
2. Re: Expat List Expats going to Suzdal! (wab3)Bill, you are right, the remark is nasty, and I think it's best to just ignore it. You won't start "educating" every jerk on the subway, right? Learning English doesn't make one a cultured man. The list is open - so there you go, you get different people to write here. If the list was closed, it would have been so much more difficult for newcomers to connect... I think this little nuisance once in a while is not a big deal for the open network we've got. Just ignore him.All the best,Lada<br> --- On Mon, 9/14/09, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: From: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: Expat Digest, Vol 59, Issue 15 To: [email protected] Date: Monday, September 14, 2009, 4:00 AM Send Expat mailing list submissions to [email protected] To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://www.lists.ru/mailman/listinfo/expat or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to [email protected] You can reach the person managing the list at [email protected] When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of Expat digest..." To: The Moscow Expat List <[email protected]> Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" I've lived and worked in Moscow since Sept 1990, longer than virtually everyone else on here, my wife is Russian, a great woman, but I really have to ask what the deal is with the local Russian males writing on this site for expats and doing nothing but denigrating us .... recently it was Andrey and now it's Boris Suckoff .... why are the locals writing on an expat forum if they can not be civil with us in our forum?
