As far as I understand, the British Emassy do not {and never have} issued such
requeests from ex-pat British citizens, in all the years I've been here.
It has always been their policy of leaving such details entirely the choice of
the individuak. And I bekieve that that's their global policy per se.
therefore, I suggest, that requesting such info - apart from being a gross
invasion of privacy - is a very blatant scam.
