Hello all!
Not sure how this would work but is anyone coming in from the US in
the next two weeks? I'm looking to have a small, relatively
inexpensive piece of jewelry sent to me for an upcoming birthday and
after hearing some of the recent discussions regarding customs hassles
even through DHL and FedEx, I think I'd like to avoid the whole thing
altogether and try to piggyback.
Why all the hassle if it's inexpensive? It's inexpensive Tiffany &
Co., and I'm afraid the name alone or the technicality that the retail
price here is over twice the retail in the states might make a customs
agent lick his lips if it comes in an envelope. In a piece of carry-on
I'd imagine it'd be light, unobtrusive and hassle-free.
Anyway - would anyone be game? I'd pay of course. Reply off list. Or
if anyone has some reliable method of sending stuff that they're aware
of - I'm all ears too.
