Jokes about the Holocaust are not "flat", they are beyond the pale,
particularly in Russia, particularly in a glossy lifestyle publication. See
for yourself, again p. 64, in October Maxim.

My lawfirm is filing suit against Hachette Filipachi and their advertisers,
specifically the Russian publisher. For some reason having Mercedes Benz, VW,
BMW et al., finance Holocaust humor REALLY rubs me the wrong way. Maybe, it's
just me.

Then, we will file a class action in the U.S., if there is a Russian reader who
was negatively impacted, please drop a line.

People who publish hateful idiocy should not be injured, but they certainly
should be negatively reinforced.

As to "we the Russians" and marginal victims. Nice to hear from a Russian
"patriot".

My grandmother was a military nurse, who refused evacuation during the Blockade
of Leningrad, b/c she felt obliged to stay with the wounded.

My grandfather received his Red Star in August of 1941, and finished the war as
a Major in the Tank Corps, starting as a tank commander in 1940.

Both Jewish.

What, exactly did you and yours do? Please feel free to provide number of
military unit, front, etc. Luckily there are ample records to confirm.

And finally... if Holocaust jokes don't offend you on behalf of Jews, there
were, as you correctly point out lots of other victims. Feel offended on
behalf of Poles, Russians, Catholics, Gays, etc. Just... feel offended.

As to denunciations of the Orthodox Church, I certainly don't agree with them
on most things. But, I am certain that not every opinion they have is wrong,
and that there are intelligent people of good will to speak on their behalf.
