Hello all,

I just left the Liga Visa and such a surprising, unpleasant experience that
I thought I should pass it on and help others avoid the same treatment. I
know that they are popular on this list and I used them once in the past
with no trouble so I anticipated no problem this time. When I went to pick
up my visa it was the wrong type. I had originally requested the type that
it was, but had to change it to include travel to assist a seriously ill
relative. The office swore they never received my new application but I was
able to show them on my phone that I had sent it. I did not get a second
confirmation after I emailed it, but I never got one for the first visa
type, nor did my collegue who also used Liga Visa, so I did not expect
one. The office then set for Vadim, company owner and the main point of
contact for customers coming from expat.ru

>From the beginning Vadim was angry. He did not want to try and solve the
problem or even hear what it was. He certainly did not want to hear my
explanation of events - every time that I tried to tell him he angrily
interrupted. When I tried to show him the email that I sent him on my
phone, placing it on his desk, he threw it back at me! He also accused me
of lying, and of having written the email just then. I sent the email from
my personal gmail address and repeatedly offered to log on on his computer
so that he could see all correspondence and the dates on Google's servers.
He refused, quite angry by now, yelling and threatening to call security. I
was still trying to solve the visa problem though and asked him to please
look at my email to see that I hadn't lied. Instead he got even angier and
more insulting. At this point, to my embarrassment, I started to cry. I am
upset about the relative and was very concerned about getting to see them.
I explained this.

Vadim responded by again saying that we were in his office, he could do as
he liked and that he was calling security. He was yelling quite loud by
this point. He tore my paperwork up in front of me and told my colleague,
who came to get an unrelated visa invitation to process in Vilnius, that he
(Vadim) would ensure that my colleague couldn't get his visa there (literal
quote "Vilnius is closed to you!").

All because I asked him to investigate an error in visa type. I suspect
that the immediate anger and rudeness was to avoid having to do so and
uncovering an error by him or his staff. In that case he succeeded, as we
left without my visa. I must now find very quick alternative arrangements
and am very sorry that I ever put my trust in Vadim and Liga Visa. I am of
course angry, but I am also in a state of shock - never in my adult life
have I seen someone react to a normal request in such an angry, violent and
rude manner. It was beyond unprofessional, it was a little crazy. There are
many visa services in Moscow and abroad, I recommed that you use one of the
others the next time you or someone you know needs one and avoid the risk
of both not getting the visa you need and the angry threats.
