Paul, Nameserving is a very big topic, and there are several different ways to implement name serving, but I believe there is some rudimentary info in the Network Administrator's Guide (NAG) under /usr/doc/LDP/nag. It is in html, so just point your browser at this directory and pick up index.html. If you need more info, I would sugest the 'BIND' manual from O'Rielly (sp?).
