Here at work, we have 2 Linux Mandrake DNS servers. Out of the box, Mandrake is pretty much setup... you need to modify your /etc/nsswitch file and /etc/named.conf then modify your /var/named directory to your likings. that's about it.. and read the DNS HOW-TOS..
