I've experienced quite the same. Mine is 3c509b, and eth0 is failed
to startup. The problem is solved when I add "alias eth0 3c509.o"
in /etc/conf.module.

Hope this help. Maybe, we should wait for Mdk7.1 or Redhat ;-((
