My USR Sporster External sounds like big ben. It does have the TI chipset. My ISP's support V90 and I can connect most of the time in the 50-52.600 range. I too suffer from robbed bits. I believe I read somewhere that the newer 3Com USR's do not have the TI chipset. Phoebe does have an external modem that uses the TI chipset also. Personally, I've been more than please with my modem and TI chipset because it resolved the same connection issues that had plagued me for 9-months on 4 different ISP's. Pj [EMAIL PROTECTED]
