[expert] vmware

Hi all,
can someone tell me if i can set my cdburner to work under vmware?
it finds my first cdrom but cant seen to get it to reconize my burner.
my burner works great under linux. i just have a lot of files on direct cd
disks and would like them to run under winblows.
