Stephen Bosch later replies that he was impressed with SWAT, and I
definitely agree with Stephen. SWAT is one of the easiest useful
configuration aid I've used for linux. The layout is logical, performs
just about every function you need to setup a server, and simple!
I find linuxconf very helpful with a lot of different things, but
definitely not with samba. I've often found it mangling my samba.conf by
writing mutliples of same sections and such. Now if someone can make
sendmail configuration this elegant...

Yeah, accessing Linux from PC is not a problem at all here as well.
Accessing Winbox from Linux definitely is less mouse-friendly. You can
try gnomba. Despite its few nasty bugs, I found it pretty good for most
simple cases. If you'll be accessing a specific share often, do a "man
smbmount" It'll show you what to put in your fstab file so that it'll get
automatically mounted to a directory every time you boot up.
