Has anybody gotten an Nvidia and an ati rage II to work together, Here's what I have: Nvidia GForce 2 GTS ATI RAGE II + dvd Here what I have found, 1. Tested both Nvidia and Ati individual they both started X in 24 bit true-color 2. default AGP Nvidia loads ATI loads and unloads -/var/log/XFree86.0.log states that ATI could not be found at "PCI:0:18:0" where it is found when a scan is performed/ starts X successfully with only Gforce2 "single display" 3. default PCI Both Drivers Load --Possibly ATI sharing memory or I/O resources X startx both displays, Nvidia looks screwy like whenever I tried to run "nv" module instead of "nvidia"on 4.0 ATI only makes it to the X-Server -Gray Screen before the background loads that's it the machine is totally locked up Questions, 1. Has anybody successfully got dual displays to work on these or other similar graphics boards. 2. What about AGP and PCI, has anybody got it to work with "AGP" as their primary display adapter. 3. Why would the ATI unload / not be found? 4. What would cause it to lock up? Sharing MemorY? Resources? 5. How can I fix it? 6. could the GLX be a problem? would it try to load on both cards? and could it? If you can help, I will send you my logs of what happened when I started X in both instances! Help or comments would be greatly appreciated! -- Kenneth Kline Information Technology Fairmont State College [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.terrastorm.net [EMAIL PROTECTED]
