your problem seems to be with X.. try installing using text mode install..
I am not very sure how to do that.. hopefully someone will answer u're Q..
or read the README or somethign thats provided with the install CD.

but lemme tell you taht I too have a Trident Blade 3D and I could install
properly.. only thing is i had to download drivers from trident's web-site
and then my X was working perfectly.
