Did you look at the link above?? It's interesting but I just
discovered you can also do it with ipportfw as an addition to your
ipchains ruleset; i.e. you can do it all, firewall and forwarding,
via rc.firewall. I think all your questions will be answered at:

...well maybe not all. Don't worry about the kernel, Mandrake has
everything you need already in it. ipportfw had me stumped for awhile
until I saw Mandrake has it as a module,
