Will gcc 2.96 the final gcc release in Mandrake 7.2 (apart from egcs for
kgcc)?

I finally decided to try gcc-2.96, and it was a disaster.
I have C++ code that works fine under gcc-2.95.2 on Linux, on Solaris, on
IRIX
and under MipsPro compilers for IRIX. The new gcc-2.96 broke my code
instead of compiling it. It compiles everything, but I makes things such as
hanging in the ether in a simple method call (mesage in clog before call
works,
message inside called proc does not appear, even if its just after the
{...).

I have stored the latest gcc-2.95.2 rpms. But I can't find them again in
cooker.

Please, could you let both compilers in final 7.2, and let the user choose
if he wants a compiler or a suicide ? I don't think it is a compiler for a
release,
I think there was yet a discussion about this; I am not telling what
version
should ship, I tell 'let the user decide...'.
