I don't know if there is any one--single--resource that you can refer to
that will take you through the process, step-by-step, to do what you want to
do in completion.

I would point you to two resources as a beginning:

Shah, Steve. Linux Administration: A beginner's Guide.
Osbourne/McGwraw-Hill: Berkeley, CA. 2000.
Anonymous. Maximum Linux Security. Sams Publishing: Indianapolis, Indiana.
2000.

By now, the second may have a more recent successor, or a competitive
publisher's offering of equal or better value--check the shelves.

Yet, I believe, in reality you will need to refer to the individual HOW-TO's
or at least find books on the specific applications you wish to use for your
purposes. The configuration process of the many services you wish/need to
use is far too extensive for any single publication--at least to vast for
one book to be well written and understandable (especially for the
inexperienced).
