Normally using printerdrake with either lpr or cups gets you up and
printing in under 10 minutes. Back in the 7.1 days I would set up
network printing using printerdrake during install and impress all the
users who think NT is ok at networking (let me see you set up a network
printer in NT less than 2 reboots after putting in the install CD!)

People sticking to Redhat tools which Mandrake supplies for
"compatability" normally lose out on the best feature of Mandrake.

If you are running multiple linux boxes on a network, cups RULES. Just
run printerdrake, choose cups, and you can print to all the cups
printers available on the network.
