[expert] installing from an iso...

I want to do the beta iso for mandrake 8, and am limited here at the house.  I have a single cable modem connection here at the house, and no cd burner.  I want to dl the iso from windows, copy it to a partition, .  I then wish to boot from a mandrake 7.1 cd and run the install from ther.   Can it happen this way?  Whre is a nice how-to or memo that outlines the steps.    Regards, Bill Ries-Knight
