So, I'm thinking I've got this 8Meg NEC Versa 2405CD laptop,
that has a bad battery, but otherwise seems fine, that is
a FINE candidate for an install of the newly downloaded LM8.0.

So, boot from cd, select the 'doit' option (<hit enter>), and
it starts booting. It uncompresses the ramdisk, does a little
with Net stuff, then says:

VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem).

Alt f3 tells me, at the end:

* AUTOMATIC: parameter cdrom for method means returning CDROM drive
* have to insmod ide-cd
* needs cdrom

-----end---

alt f4 says: (after the IDE controller detection):

<4>hda: TOSHIBA MK1403MAV, ATA DISK drive
<4>hdc: CD-48E, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive (oh, cool! I'd not noticed that!)
<4>ide0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7,0x3f6 on irq 14
<4>ide1 at 0x170-0x177,0x376 on irq 15
<6>hda: blah blah
blahblah Ramdisk blahblah
<4>Uncompressing..... ... ...done.
<4>Freeing initrd memory: 599k freed
blah blah net stuff
(after the net stuff)
<6>VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem).
------------end-----

Anybody have a clue? I'm certainly clue challenged...
