Hi, That IS a good solution Civileme; however, most of the time when I am going to delete a full directory, I do the following: ls /dir and if it IS in fact what I want to delete, I then type rm -Rf ESC+_ (that is escape and underscore, to insert that last argument from the last command) which prevents ANY possible typo/cat-from-hell incident.
