Hi List, has anyone else running Mandrake 8.1 noticed or experienced the way Netscape Navigator just hangs for a minute or so when it's first started as though it's struggling to verify a connection? It's there, but it isn't. Then, after a period of time, usually between 10 seconds and as long as 90 seconds the browser window finishes loading and it usable.
My current machine is an AMD 233 with 160MB of RAM. Now I thought that maybe it was something to do with the fact that my system is getting on in years, but I've noticed that Netscape behaves in the same manner on my Dell workstation at work which isn't even a year old yet. (Celeron 800Mhz). Then i thought maybe it was some weird behavior of netscape 4.78 so I went back to 4.77, but it seems to me something unique to Mandrake 8.1.
