Win4Lin needs to patch the kernel; you don't have to use a Mandrake specific kernel if you don't want to. Just patch a generic kernel; that's what I did. vmWare requires no kernel patches(or didn't use it, anyway), so you should be able to run both. I used to run both on Mdk 7.2. -- Michael J.
